The take
The Army Corps looked at the new gap, decided it was worth keeping, and jettied both sides — which is how an accident became permanent. That accident made Ocean City a fishing port — the whole White Marlin Capital story starts right here. Come for the boat-watching, the anglers working the jetty, and the clearest view of Assateague you can get without a boat.
