Beach Sweeper
Forty-five minutes of dark, four lanes of sand, and one tractor dragging a rake. Whatever you miss is still there when the beach opens.

4:15 in the morning
The beach opens at five. Until then the rake is down — lift it over buried posts, driftwood, and sea glass you would rather leave.
Press Start the shift, or press Space.
Keys: ↑/↓ move between the wrack line and the dune fence, Space or Enter holds the rake up. Nothing here needs an account, and the best shift stays in this browser.
What a pass is worth
- Litter raked up — 10 points. This is the whole job.
- Sea glass raked up — 2. Sea glass left in the sand — 8.
- A jammed rake — 4 seconds off the clock, and the clock is the round.
A beach picked perfectly clean is a beach where nobody finds anything.
This happens every morning
The rakes work the sand before the beach opens at five, which is the only reason the sand you walk onto at nine looks the way it does. If you want to see the real thing, be on the beach early — the machines are the whole show at half past four, and then they are gone.

The rake goes over what the detector goes under. Same beach, same hour, opposite job.
