History

W. B. Thurston

Managing director, George Washington Hotel, Ocean City · active 1932

Managing director of the George Washington Hotel, Board Walk at 10th Street, Ocean City, Maryland — a steel-framed house advertising itself in the Washington Evening Star through the 1932 season as the largest hotel in the town, at telephone Ocean City 272, and offering '1932 Rates 20% Lower Than 1931'. Neither he nor the hotel appears anywhere in the campaign's record before 1932, and the hotel is absent from the town's own collective capacity advertisement of the same month.
