Robert Rennert

hotelier · active 1882-

Baltimore hotel man who leased Congress Hall at Ocean City for the season of 1882, taking it over from Col. W. B. R. Selby, who had run it since it opened in 1880. He registered his first two Baltimore guests on June 9 and opened the house on June 14, a week ahead of the Atlantic. By August the trade press of the day was listing the firm as "Rennert & Co."
