Wife of Capt. William I. Purnell, keeper of the Ocean City Coast Guard station. In December 1922 she was contracting in her own name for the enlargement of her house on the boardwalk next to the Coast Guard station into a hotel — twenty extra rooms with bathroom attachments, "especially equipped for winter use" — to be ready for the early spring opening. Her given name is not printed.
