A resident of the country near Berlin, Worcester County, who died September 10, 1869 at the age of ninety. The Smyrna Times reported that he and his wife had lived together sixty-five years, that she survived him, and that he had been a church member for about seventy years.     Levin Holland of near Berlin dies at ninety, after sixty-five years of marriage and about seventy years in the church.

    "Mr. Levin Holland, residing near Berlin, Worcester county, died on Friday, the 10th inst., at the advanced age of ninety years," the Smyrna Times reported on September 29, 1869. "Mr. Holland and his wife lived together sixty-five years. She is now living, and [he left some 65 or 70] descendants. He was a highly respected citizen, and a member of the church for about seventy years." A man born about 1779 in the county behind the beach, whose life spanned from the Revolution's aftermath to the eve of the resort.
