John W. Woodland
president of the Ocean City Development Company · active 1905–
Baltimore businessman elected president of the syndicate that bought John F. Waggaman's entire Ocean City estate in September 1905 and incorporated at Dover, Delaware, as the Ocean City Development Company with $300,000 of capital stock. His co-officers were E. S. Johnson vice-president, W. D. Allen secretary and W. S. McKean general manager.
