Rev. John B. Adams

Methodist minister resident at Ocean City, Maryland, and a federal prohibition agent for the district until his badge was withdrawn — by his own account through the influence of Senator Edge. Known across Maryland as 'the raiding parson'. In March 1924 a Methodist conference adopted a resolution urging his reappointment, and he told its mass meeting that with his badge back he could find within ten minutes' walk of the church enough liquor to give every minister present a case and keep fifty cases himself.
The registry's only named Prohibition enforcer living at Ocean City, and by 1924 he had been sacked.
