History

James C. Dirickson

incorporator, Atlantic Hotel Company

One of the four men named in the Maryland act of February 18, 1868 that created the Atlantic Hotel Company of Berlin, Worcester County — the corporate body chartered to build a first-class hotel on the sea shore within eight miles of Berlin, which is what Ocean City's Atlantic Hotel became. Nothing further about him was established in this pass; the Dirickson name is an old Worcester County one.
