H. E. Waggaman

First secretary and treasurer of the Ocean City Golf and Country Club, elected at the incorporators' meeting at the Atlantic Hotel on 18 July 1901, and a member of the Chevy Chase Club of Washington. In the club's first open tournament, 1-3 August 1901, he won the consolation cup, beating E. B. Showell Myers of the Torresdale Country Club 5 up and 3 to play; a week later he and Mrs. Waggaman played the mixed foursomes together. He belongs to the Washington Waggaman family - John F. Waggaman, who owned most of Ocean City, was an incorporator of the same club and played in the same tournament.
