Of Ocean City; superintendent of road construction for the State Roads Commission and one of the five men in the first automobile over the new Sinepuxent Bay bridge in the spring of 1919. The Cambridge Daily Banner of 23 May 1919 records him as "Mr. Grover C. Day, of Ocean City, Md.", which supplies the given name behind the initials in the bridge reports.
