Chief Inspector of the Conservation Commission of Maryland, of Crisfield, sent to Ocean City in March 1922 to investigate reported violations of the crab law in Sinepuxent Bay. He reported to the county paper at Snow Hill that although he found equipment and other evidence suggesting people had been taking crabs in the closed season, he believed them ignorant of the law rather than willful violators.
