History

The Worcester Fish Company

company · active -1918

An Ocean City ocean-pound fishing concern that chose not to operate the 1918 season and sold its entire rig at public auction at its camp site on the beach on Tuesday 2 April 1918. The advertised outfit -- a pound boat with powerful engines, nets, anchors and rigging, a heavy horse, camp equipment, two pound location permits with whatever poles were standing, and camp rental rights -- is the fullest inventory of an Ocean City pound-fishing operation the campaign has found.
