County-wide women's club, active in 1919 under county chairman Miss Rozelle P. Handy. Meeting in the Snow Hill court house that May with "every part of Worcester County represented," it planned two big meetings at Ocean City for the summer and appointed standing committees on Art, Music, Patriotic Education, Libraries and Programs. It undertook to give a Victory Song at Ocean City in August 1919 for the county's returned soldiers and sailors, and co-sponsored the county Educational Rally held in the auditorium of the state school building at Ocean City on 17 July 1919.

Worcester County plans a Victory Sing at Ocean City for its returning soldiers and sailors.
The Messenger, 7 June 1919: "The Woman's Club of Worcester County will give a Victory Song at Ocean City in August (the date to be given later) for Worcester County soldiers and sailors. It is hoped every one of our boys will be there." A week later the plan had grown: "Community singing throughout Worcester County is to be revived again this summer with the various weekly song centers singing songs of victory and welcome for the returned soldiers and sailors. The culmination … will be enjoyed some day during the first week in August when a big Community Sing will be held at Ocean City in which all the singing centers will participate," led if possible by Dr. E. L. Woolsey of Baltimore, "the promoter of community singing." The Woman's Club had settled on Ocean City for "two big meetings" at its May meeting in the Snow Hill court house, Miss Rozelle P. Handy presiding as county chairman.

Shriners, state foresters, fruit growers, the county Woman's Club and the State Grange all arrange days at Ocean City.
The convention habit reaches down the list. 9 August: 'H. H. Long, president of the Eastern Shore Shrine Club of Boumi Temple, has sent out a circular letter announcing an outing of the Order at Ocean City, today, Saturday, August 9th.' Late July: the State Department of Forestry's Eastern Shore tour, some fifty guests including the state foresters of Virginia, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, was 'arranged to arrive at Ocean City Saturday evening in time for an ocean dip before dinner.' August: the American Pomological Society's inspection of Eastern Shore orchards 'ended at Ocean City'. 12 June: the Worcester County Woman's Club held its last meeting before the summer vacation at Ocean City. December: the Maryland State Grange programme included 'Saturday morning a trip to Ocean City'.

In February 1944 Ocean City decided to salvage what it could from the first-aid supplies it had bought in 1941, and no bids at all came in to haul the town's garbage.
The same meeting that heard Mrs. Elizabeth Strohecker ask, for the Woman's Club, that the Red Star bus terminal be taken off Baltimore Avenue also decided to salvage what could be got from the first-aid supplies bought in 1941 - three weeks after the civilian-defence pumps went into storage. Bids were asked for hauling garbage and none were received.
