The Trimper amusement firm of the Ocean City boardwalk, named in the town's minute book on 4 April 1938 as one of the three property owners objecting to a permit for a Colored Recreation Hall - the first objector listed. A 'Trimper's Marine Railway' is separately named in August 1938 among the interests that filed documents against the North Division Street bridge at the War Department hearing.
