The company that subdivided and sold the ground around the new West Ocean City fishing harbour. Through 1937 the Worcester Democrat's weekly Real Estate Transfers column records lot after lot conveyed by Seaside, Inc. on 'Ocean City Harbor' and 'Harbor Road' in the Tenth Election District - to the Davis and Lynch Fishing Company, to Daniel Trimper, Jr., to Louis S. Parsons, Chas. R. Laws, S. Dodd Shuter and Emar Nilsen among others, at considerations as low as $70. It is the commercial fishing harbour forming, lot by lot, in the year after the water was dug.

The Corps of Engineers dug the West Ocean City harbour in 1936. In 1937 somebody sold the banks. The Worcester Democrat's weekly Real Estate Transfers column records Seaside, Inc. conveying lot after lot on 'Ocean City Harbor' and 'Harbor Road' in the Tenth Election District through the year: to 'J. Edwin Davis and Levin D. Lynch, partners trading as Davis and Lynch Fishing Company' on 2 July for a consideration of $70, and to the same firm again in October; to Daniel Trimper, Jr. in July; and to Louis S. Parsons, Chas. R. Laws, S. Dodd Shuter and Emar Nilsen. That is a commercial fishing port assembling itself in public, in a newspaper column, in the twelve months after the water was there - the shore plant that the visiting trawler captain said in August was the one thing the best harbour on the Atlantic still lacked.
