A pound-fishing partnership of Christopher Ludlam, the resident partner at Ocean City, and Ansley Ludlam, working an offshore fishing boat from a camp on Philadelphia Avenue. It was thrown into bankruptcy in June 1922 when Christopher Ludlam went into hospital, leaving nobody to care for the assets; John S. Whaley of Staton & Whaley was appointed receiver on a $2,000 bond by the U.S. District Court for Maryland. The whole business was auctioned on the camp lot on 5 August 1922: one large pound boat and engine, a second boat, seines for two pounds, anchors, a pump, a wagon, a gasoline tank, a coal oil tank and a roll-top desk. Not to be confused with the Ocean City Fishing Company of the 1900s already in this registry.

The Ocean City Fish Company is thrown into bankruptcy in June 1922, and its whole plant — one pound boat, seines for two pounds, anchors, a pump, a wagon and a roll-top desk — is auctioned off on Philadelphia Avenue.
The Democratic Messenger of 24 June 1922: "John S. Whaley, of Staton and Whaley, was appointed in the United States Court Monday receiver in bankruptcy for Christopher Ludlam individually, and as a partner of Ansley Ludlam, trading as the Ocean City Fish Company. The bond was for $2,000. It was stated in the petition for the appointment of a receiver that the property of the fish company consisted principally of an offshore fishing boat and equipment, and that Christopher Ludlam, resident member of the partnership, was about to enter a hospital for treatment, leaving no one to care for the assets." The receiver's sale, advertised for weeks, was held under an order of Judge John C. Rose of the U.S. District Court for Maryland on Saturday 5 August 1922 at 2.30 p.m., "on the lot on Philadelphia Avenue formerly occupied as a fishing camp by the Ocean City Fish Co.": "1 large pound boat and equipment (engine), one boat, seins for two pounds, number of anchors, one pump, wagon, large gasoline tank, large coal oil tank, roll top desk, etc." — 1922 RECTIFICATION, 2026-08-10: The referee's notice, printed three times: "In the Matter of **Christopher Ludlam, individually and the partnership of Christopher Ludlam and Ansley Ludlam, trading as Ocean City Fish Company**, Bankrupt… that on the **19th day of June, 1922**, [they] were duly adjudicated bankrupts, and the first meeting of creditors of said individual and partnership will be held at the law office of **Calvin B. Taylor, Esq., Berlin, Md., on Friday July 28th, 1922, at ten thirty o'clock A. M.**… F. W. C. Webb, Referee." The registry has Christopher Ludlam; Ansley Ludlam is new, and the bankruptcy was both personal and partnership.
