A hotel company incorporated with the Maryland State Tax Commission on 19 July 1922 by Mrs. S. M. Mason, Dr. Otho Mason and Dr. Edmund Burk, all of Ocean City, to build a $200,000 hotel on the Ocean City boardwalk — set back from the walk behind a wide porch, with a salt-water swimming pool, bowling alleys, a large dance floor and sailing and fishing parties arranged for guests. Announced by Thurman D. Mason in August 1922, with occupancy promised about Easter 1923 and construction to go to the B. H. Gibson Company of Chicago or H. L. Stevens & Co. of New York. The stock had not been offered to the public when the announcement was made, and no site had been chosen; two were under consideration. The company's fate after 1922 is not established.
