Eastern Shore Power, Light and Railway Company

Chartered by Chapter 565 of the Acts of 1912, approved 11 April, to run a steam, electric or other motor railway from the southern end of Deal's Island in Somerset County through Princess Anne and Snow Hill "to Sinepuxent Bay, in Worcester county," with the option of extending to Salisbury and Pocomoke City and of running branches up to fifteen miles from the line, and with power to generate and sell electric light and power in Princess Anne and towns within fifteen miles. The act expressly forbade the company to use electricity for lighting inside the corporate limits of the towns it named. Its incorporators were S. Frank Dashiell, John P. Moore, Lewis M. Milbourne, Robert H. Jones, H. C. Webster, J. T. Taylor, Jr., J. W. West, Walter A. Morrison and T. Blair Hawkins.
