The Baltimore and Eastern Shore Railway and Ferry Company

Chartered by Chapter 564 of the Acts of 1912, approved 11 April, to build an electric railway from Baltimore City through Baltimore, Harford or Anne Arundel counties to a point on the Chesapeake, to carry passengers, freight and its own loaded cars across the bay by ferry to Kent County, and to run on over the public roads of the Eastern Shore through Easton, Cambridge, Denton, Princess Anne, Crisfield and Salisbury "to the Town of Snow Hill, Pocomoke City and Ocean City, in Worcester county," with power to build branches to any other town its directors chose, to operate wharves, piers and warehouses, to condemn land and to mortgage its franchises — all subject to the Public Service Commission Law of 1910. Its incorporators were James H. Preston, Joseph F. Nossel and John R. Bland of Baltimore City, Curtis E. Crane of Kent, Harvey B. Cooper of Caroline, Charles E. Harper of Wicomico and Edgar W. McMaster of Worcester. No evidence has been found that it laid a rail.
